As a female entrepreneur, I often feel like we don’t talk enough about the real challenges behind the journey. Success and achievements are highlighted, but the sacrifices, the difficult decisions, and the loneliness that come with it are rarely discussed.
Leading a business, constantly pushing yourself, making tough calls—it's a relentless challenge. But what keeps me going is seeing other women breaking barriers and redefining standards. I admire so many women, and I think we don’t celebrate them enough.
Here are five Canadian women who deeply inspire me.
The powerhouse behind WOMANCE and SANS FAÇON COSMÉTIQUE. What Andréanne has achieved in such a short time is beyond impressive. If you want to know more about her, I highly recommend listening to the Startop Podcast episode featuring Andréanne. I already admired her, but after hearing more of her story, I was like,WAW. GIRL BOSS.
The co-founder and designer of MYLARMARQUE, a Canadian-based clothing brand that has now gained global recognition. Seeing local businesses achieve international success is incredibly inspiring for me. What fascinates me about Ifigenia is how she built such a strong brand without being the face of it. She proves that good products, talent and strategy can be the driving force, without a single individual being at the forefront.
Co-founder of Girl Crush and E-influence. I’ve known Cindy for over 10 years—and I’ve had the privilege of watching her evolve from influencer and content creator to the head of two thriving businesses. She inspires me every day with her authenticity, kindness and drive.
4. Mel Mo
Mel works as an Art Director for Aldo while also being a content creator. Her content is breathtaking—her feed gives ;Jacquemus and Alaïa had a baby(...) Everything she touches turns into art, and beyond that, she is a truly beautiful person, inside and out.
Known as Izzi poopi, Isabelle is a content creator and a global fashion influencer. Not only does she sit front row at the biggest Fashion Week shows, but she has also collaborated with major brands like Kilian Paris, Longchamp and Prada. Isabelle is our client at Pinklablonde Club, and I’ve known her since she was 16, back when she wasn’t even on social media. Watching her growth has been incredible, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.
These 5 women are all proof that with hard work and passion, anything is possible.
So take a moment to reflect: which woman in your life deserves to be cheered on today? A friend, a colleague, a mentor… or maybe even yourself?
Too often, we forget to give ourselves credit for all that we accomplish. Today, I encourage you to send a message of appreciation to a woman who inspires you… or to look in the mirror and acknowledge your own strength.
